Time to Get PROM’D!

There are few moments in life as magical as senior prom, which is why we’re thrilled to be working with David’s Bridal to drive pre-prom season excitement. Our teen-beat nostalgia even inspired a fun twist on the fortune-telling childhood game, MASH. The creative concept was to re-invent this classic for the next generation, and today, we’re proud to announce the launch of PROM’D, a mobile web app accessible on any phone with a web browser.

Choose your Party theme and your Ride, plan the Outfit and the Music, and choose a Date to create the best prom ever!

PROM’D is integrated with Facebook and has built in capabilities for social sharing. The app has a QR code and users can access the app by texting PROMD to the short code “74362”. Spotlight: Doritos Uncut has been accepted into Facebook Studio!

We’re very proud of the work we did with Doritos Uncut and we’re happy to have it featured today.

From Facebook Studio:

To increase social engagement in the Brazilian market, Doritos tasked LiveAd and Night Agency with building a Facebook presence from the ground up. To leverage the inherent sharing and storytelling behaviors within Facebook, we created Doritos Uncut, a collaborative, creative storytelling application for the Brazilian market that allowed friends to engage with each other on the Doritos Facebook Page. This allowed Doritos to not only create a ‘hangout’ for fans, but to also grow its fan base at the same time.

This innovative Facebook application invited fans to submit 140-character segments of a story, and then urge their friends to help them complete it for the chance to have their story brought to digital life by Doritos! At the end of every day, the story with the most votes was transformed into a digital storyboard and at the end of the promotion, fans voted for their favorite storyboard. The winning story was turned into an animated digital short that was entered into animation festivals (including SXSW and Kino Fest), and the winning authors received a trip to Hollywood.

Doritos promoted the campaign on nearly 20 million product packages during the two-month campaign, in addition to Facebook media and partner blogs. It also capitalized on the assumption that fans would be eager to share their stories and post notifications to their walls, driving large amounts of organic traffic to the campaign.

Campaign Performance

In less than two months, the new Doritos Facebook Page grew to over 30,000 fans. Doritos Uncut saw a total of 4,266 stories published, with 16,349 people using the application. The number of impressions from the stories alone is close to one million. This level of performance helped Doritos solidify that while this story-telling behavior was already happening, the capacity for it to grow into something bigger through a single point of engagement was a huge opportunity.

This campaign marks the first large-scale Facebook initiative by Doritos in the Brazilian market and received recognition for being a top performing campaign by Alexandre Hohagen, Vice President of Facebook in Latin America.

Hanes Shares the Comfort and Warmth this Holiday Season

Once again, Hanes is putting their best foot forward to help those in need with their Annual Hanes Virtual Sock Drive, a social charitable initiative. Since 2009, Hanes has donated 1.7 million individual socks and with the help of their Facebook friends, hopes to donate an additional 250,000 pairs this year! All donated socks will be given to Salvation Army locations across the United States.

Keds.com Wins OMMA Award for Web Site Excellence!

The OMMA Awards celebrate the year’s best in online media, marketing and advertising through three disciplines across 77 separate categories. We are pleased to share that Night Agency has been awarded the 2010 OMMA Award for Web Site Excellence in the Fashion/Beauty/Cosmetics category for Keds.com.

Night Agency helped to make a 100-year-old sneaker company cool again through the Design Your Own feature,  Keds Collective and Style Gallery.

The Design Your Own component is a full Flash tool that allows users to customize 5 types of Keds using colors, images, text and print. Consumers can leverage the design tool’s unique capability to upload images to their design and post their shoes for sale once complete, syncing perfectly with their entrepreneurial mindset.

The Keds Collective allows consumers to shop unique designs by independent designers from across the country. Short profiles and videos of the designers working and discussing their inspiration are available for consumers to explore and add a personal touch to the site.

The Style Gallery features photographs of real people wearing their Keds. In the gallery consumers can browse the photos and shop the featured shoes.

Tapping into the resurgence of Keds amongst trendsetters, stylists, and designers, Night Agency successfully created an experiential site to engage the target and encourage sharability. Playtex Bras on WWD!

In today’s issue of Women’s Wear Daily, Karyn Monget featured the Playtex Bra Makeover campaign. The campaign is anchored by a webisode series, which features 10 real women with real bra problems. Each woman was flown to New York from various parts of the country to star in her own webisode and received a professional bra fitting by style expert Alison Deyette. Monget also spoke with Night Agency’s Group Account Director Rachel Lepelstat:

“The Webisodes are reality-TV-inspired because there’s been big success with makeover shows, and there’s a foundation and background for that,” said Lepelstat. “But we did it in an authentic way for Playtex.”
