What’s ‘appening? The Top 11 Apps of 2011.
December 22nd, 2011It’s that time of year – the “best of” roundup and countdown.
Rather than repurpose a list from TechCrunch, Mashable or Time (even if they are chalk-full of greatness), we decided to survey our own Nighters. Real people, using apps from trendy to practical, on a daily basis. Here’s this year’s list of our agency’s favorites for Android, iPhone and iPad. Next question… what’s the average number of apps we all have?
#1. Flipboard – The iPad app comes to iPhone.
#2. Spotify – One of the most anticipated (US) launches of the year.
#3. Alien Blue – Because we need the front page of the internet for our news.
#4. Cut The Rope – Candy. Omnomnom.
#5. Path – Share your life with the ones you love.
#6. Venmo – It’s like your phone and your wallet had a beautiful baby!
#7. Exit Strategy – Works underground, and shows you the fastest routes in and out to quickly get around town.
#8. Sonar – See who’s around you, and uncover the hidden connections you miss everyday.
#9. Welsh Corgis-Small Dog Series – Cute, adorable and fun. What’s not to love?
#10. Nyan Cat – Be prepared to lose a lot of time! This cat lost-in-space thing is addicting.
#11. iFaceFat – Because it’s fun.
11. Words with Friends – An oldie but goodie, on the rise again after Alec Baldwin’s in-flight play gave the app a popularity boost.
