Night Agency Contributes to PSFK’s First Future of Health ReportAugust 11th, 2010
When PSFK challenged the world’s leading advertising and design agencies with a brief for their Future of Health Report, Night Agency enthusiastically stepped up to the plate. In an effort to shed light on healthcare issues currently faced in emerging countries, UNICEF identified a handful of key challenges, including: limited resources, technological constraints, and limited access to timely and relevant health and wellness information.
Addressing UNICEF’s difficulty in registering new births, the RFIDLifeBand not only has the ability to track birth registrations, but also has the potential to reduce missed doctor appointments by providing a reminder for expectant mothers when they are due for a check-up.
The Solar Health Station is a solar powered kiosk placed in remote villages to address UNICEF’s ever-growing challenges in distance learning, limited reach to physicians, trouble with scheduling visits and the difficulty of identifying needs in different remote communities. This simple user interface will have two central functions: providing basic health and hygiene tutorials for village communities and registration/reminders for check-up appointments.
