Producer

The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable in the interactive space, an innovative thinker with a get it done attitude. This candidate is the most organized person ever as well as an incredible team player, who keeps cool under pressure, while getting the most out of the team.

This person must also be creative, solutions-driven and organized to make sure high quality work is delivered on time in an extremely fast-paced environment.

In addition, he or she understands technology, budgeting and timeline management and would never let something slip through the cracks or let a team member down.

The producer is responsible for leading the development and production of interactive work at the agency from start to finish. The producer must also be able to communicate clearly and regularly with the account team and creative team. This position is client-facing along with our account team, so ability to communicate effectively with clients is also a requirement.

Experience planning and implementing digital projects such as websites, banners, microsites, email, social media and other online initiatives is a must. Responsibilities include:
  • Work with client and account team to gather site/project requirements.
  • Document the vision for the project into a defined scope of work.
  • Working with the creative and tech team to determine project scope, timing and budget.
  • Break down project vision into next steps and deliverables, assign tasks to team members and follow through.
  • Determine programming needs based on creative and functionality requirements.
  • Work with team to write functional and tech specs as required.
  • Schedule all internal reviews and internal team meetings as necessary.
  • Take ownership of the project from beginning to end, coordinating the team to meet timing and budget requirements.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building ability, both with clients and internally

Front-end / Javascript Developer

Night Agency is seeking a Front-end / Javascript developer to join out team. We are a fast-paced digital agency in Soho. This is your opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of developers on cutting edge technologies.

Requirements:
  • At least 3+ years experience developing software applications in a commercial or institutional environment; agency experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating cross-browser user interfaces using object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, DOM Scripting, CSS, JSON, and XML (plus using them together as AJAX).
  • Passion for JavaScript and UI programming using client-side libraries like jQuery and YUI
  • Knowledge of advanced client-side techniques including optimization, object-oriented architecture
  • Clean and elegant HTML and CSS
  • Love for HTML5 and CSS3
  • Ability to slice Photoshop PSDs and optimize graphics
  • Knowledge of common cross-browser issues and fixes
  • Version control with Git or Subversion (Love for GitHub is a plus)

Senior .Net Web Developer

Night Agency is seeking a Senior .NET Web Developer to expand our development expertise. In this challenging role you will utilize your C# and SQL Server prowess to develop a variety of Web-based solutions. Candidate should be a motivated problem solver.

Translate high-level requirements into detailed designs; providing technical estimates; develop and support existing and new applications.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or something interesting
  • 3+ years of experience with the following:
  • Web Services
  • SQL Server 2005/2008, creating Scripts, Store Procedures, etc
  • Solid application development skills utilizing ASP. NET, C#, AJAX/SOAP, Web Services, IIS, XML, HTML, JavaScript
  • Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of MVC 3+
  • Solid background in OO design; OOP and multi-threaded application development.
  • Unit and System Testing
  • JQuery (a Plus)
  • Lead projects from start (requirements) to finish (implementation)

Internship: Account Management And Social Media

Internship: Developer

We are currently looking for exceptional summer Development intern to work alongside our various teams. You will be expected to contribute to any and all development projects that are currently in the resource pipeline. Depending on the structure of the project, the intern will be performing a wide range of software design, programming, and system administration tasks including the following:
  • Review of Information Architecture documents
  • Creation of Functional Specifications and Technical Requirements documents
  • Provisioning and setup of Linux servers
  • Installation and configuration of prominent open source packages
  • Front end development using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
  • API design
  • Application development in PHP and Ruby
  • Version control using Git and SVN
  • Unit testing
  • Quality assurance testing
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
Depending on the projects that come through the pipeline, the intern may be expected to work either individually or in a team environment. By the end of the internship, the development intern should have a strong knowledge of the following technologies:
  • Ubuntu (or other distributions) Linux for hosting web applications
  • Apache web server
  • PHP 5 and Ruby using object oriented programming and design patterns
  • MySQL for storing and accessing relational data
  • MongoDB (or another NoSQL alternative) for storing and accessing key/value data
  • HTML5 and CSS3 for creating the next generation of user interfaces
  • Javascript and jQuery for AJAX and DOM manipulation
The intern will have a primary advisor throughout the internship. The primary advisor is a senior member of the development staff who is involved in the full life-cycle of projects. The advisor will be available to assist with any questions, whether it is related to the intern’s current task, a personal project, or about the field in general.

Consequently, as the intern is assigned tasks and projects, most if not all of our development team will assist in supervising him/her.

Additionally, the intern’s supervisor(s) will provide consistent code reviews, weekly tutorials and instructional conversations about technical best practices, emerging technologies, and the nuances of professional web-development.

Internship: Interactive Designer

We are currently looking for an exceptional summer Interactive Design intern to work alongside our various teams. You will apply your illustration, typography and design skills in branding, user experience, development of websites, special promotions, mobile apps, and motion graphics. The ideal candidate would meet the following Qualifications:

  • A well-developed sense of illustration, design and typography using Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Plays well with others and enjoys working in a creative atmosphere
  • Flash, After Affects, Video and any animation skills is a huge plus
  • Front end development using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
  • Knowledge of HTML a double plus
Interns will learn how to see a project through from concept to conception in a fast paced setting, surrounded by talented designers and developers. You will work collaboratively and on your own at various stages of a project, as well as developing your own skills the whole time.
